moves like Jagger

Well, Kristina, I hope you are enjoying Circus Soleil with your mom right now! & Rita, I hope you are enjoying your football game and deer chilli.

I had a pretty simple night. I convinced Justin to go on a walk with Chimi and me, which was pretty easy to do. This sucka never wanted to go on walks with me while we were dating when I asked him to, but I was able to easily convince him tonight... I know what you are thinking, Kristina. So, he brought Marley & we walked for about 40 minutes. Then I did some intense cleaning tonight because ants are starting to pop up around Chimi's food. I planted some traps and scrubbed, so hopefully I'm in the clear right now.

For dinner, I made the mexican dish I've been talking about and made some changes, and it was great! I didn't really notice a difference with the ground turkey because it was mixed all in, so I was pretty impressed!  I'm just going to make slight changes like that.

I forgot to tell you guys, my roommate got the carpet fixed and it is as good as new; you can't tell anything ever happened. yahoo.

Ok, on another side note since you both have dogs, Chimi has been scratching (moreso, biting to itch) himself a lot lately. there is one spot where he has made himself bleed and even some of the hair has thinned out. He has these little red blotch spots randomly now on his body. Justin thinks it is criggers or possibly poison ivy because I've been taking him back in those trails a lot lately. I feel that if it was poison ivy, he'd be in a lot more pain and it might be more noticeable. I gave him a bath tonight and his shampoo is that oatmeal based itch relief kind. If it seems to get worse tomorrow, I'm going to take him to the vet. But, I'm wondering if your babies had this problem at all :(

Tomorrow is my first official day of being at field hockey tryouts!

Ok, shower time and getting into bed. Team Skinny! :)

  1. Good luck at field hockey!!!

For chimi- he might be allergic to something, maybe his food? have you seen any fleas on him? To make him feel better you can probably give him a benadryl...but I would check with your vet first!! I would def. Take him to the vet if it's still bothering him....no need for poor chimi to be uncomfortable!!

  2. Karma has tons of allergies, you can pay a shitload of money to have an allergy test to see what is causing him to itch, but it's ridiculous and may not tell you anything...Karma's tends to be seasonal with her ears, usually spring/summer. So we usually get steriod drops from the vet and give them to her, but sometimes her feet get itchy too. Karma usually will get one steroid injection and be "okay" - and by that I mean not perfect, but not miserable.

We tried benadryl this year - here's the thing with benadryl - it's ONE MG per POUND. So if chimi weighs 25lbs give him 25mg.

NOW - Benadryl only works on 50% of dogs on clearing up allergies. Also, it can either make Chimi really sleepy, or really crazy hyper...so be prepared.

It helps Karma a little bit but she has to be on it quite regularly - we can't just give it to her as needed...and it makes her sleepy, so we also give her some during bad thunderstorms.

I'd definitely take Chimi to the vet and make sure he's okay...if he's caused himself to bleed he may be susceptible to getting an infection if he keeps scratching with his little puppy paws....and that's something you do not want to pay for....also doggy antibiotics make diaherra everywhere!!!

    P.S. Maybe allergic to Lesiban?!?

Hope that helps! Give chimi some get better kisses from me and Karma!
