Yesterday....and Today....

I shockingly didn't do too bad this weekend (which is usually not my strength) - so I'm impressed with myself.

I didn't eat bad at all at the wedding, it would have been better if I didn't eat that pizza so late, but I was hungry and I knew it'd be even worse in the morning if I went to bed without eating, so I ate.

Sunday - FLEW by....
I woke up, had coffee, and did somethings...then had a yogurt while watching Mens Basketball - the "Redeem Team" get Olympic Gold.

After that I left the house, because it was a beautiful day, and I had the top down on the Jeep. I needed to go to Gardenridge to look around for mom, I ended up finding what I was looking for, which was a patio serving cart. So I loaded that puppy in the Jeep and drove (the long way) back home to drop it off before I went to the grocery store. Jeeps are awesome, but there isn't alot of room for big boxes AND groceries.

I went to wal-mart, but TONS of fruit (an entire watermelon, it was cheaper) - grapes, cherries, strawberries, and replaced some things we were out of around the house.

Then I came home, unloaded the Jeep...rested for a few minutes in the AC because it was hot as hell and then hit the kitchen.

I rinsed and cut the strawberries, cut the watermelon and gave half to the neighbors (still cheaper), rinsed the cherries, rinsed the grapes and pulled them off the vine. All set to eat, no excuses.

Josh ate lunch without me, so I was pretty hungry, but I got full pretty fast cause I was eating what I was cutting, watermelon takes up alot of space!

Somehow, I ended up cleaning the kitchen and doing ALL the laundry, and cleaning up things downstairs while Josh was smoking a stogie outside...I get so much more down when he's not sitting in front of the tv and I don't sit in front of the tv either, which is a plus.

Then it was dinner time.

We FINALLY ate the chili we had defrosted last week. We reheated it on the stove, and I made some corn muffins (small ones) to go along with it. Deer chili is SO good for you...the meat has zero fat, and other than that it's just beans, tomatoes, and seasonings...can't beat it.

I had one bowl of chili, two corn bread muffins, a little shredded cheese on top and a dollop of reduced fat sour cream....

DELICIOUS!

After dinner, I wanted to snack while watching the closing ceremonies...so I filled a red solo cup with grapes and snacked on that while watching the train wreck that was the Closing Ceremonies of 2012. What was that octopus about? Hello Spice girls! :)

Today - I am set up for success....
Here's my "lunchbox"

Coffee with splenda and 2% milk
Chobani Peach Yogurt
Turkey and mustard on white wheat
Watermelon
Grapes
Cherries

BAM!
Dinner - no idea, maybe homemade steak and cheese because we have some subrolls we gotta eat before they go bad!
